Found an Inn for Sale!!!!!!!

Ohhhhhhh! I found an Inn for sale on the gulf coast and I am dreaming really big now! It would put me back near my kids. It would be on the beach which is my favorite place ever! Maybe I should just jump in with both feet and run my own Inn right away. Maybe not! I don't have any idea how I will get that kind of financing anyway.

I know, small business loans/grants for women, but we are talking 1/2 a million dollars and I have ZERO! I am a teacher. I have no money.

If only I had already sold a book. hmmmmmmm write write write

Obviously, I never heard from the innkeeper in Arizona. Whatever!!

No Need to Panic!

He will call! I wrote an email today. I explained that I had situations and commitments that I need to plan around. I asked him to contact me at his earliest convenience. I was very professional and intelligent and not at all desperate sounding! Ha! I'm sure he can read right through me!

I will begin to look for other employ at various Bed & Breakfast Inns tonight. Not that I need to...just to see what is out there of course.

Patience is a Virtue....Right?

Oh I am really getting frustrated waiting on this phone call. Do I have the job? Am I going to be a Bed & Breakfast Inn keeper this summer? OR Do I need to go ahead and accept plans for teacher workshops, curriculum writing, vacation with my kids?

There are lots of plans riding on this one phone call either way it goes. I simply must know one way or the other.

I sent him a text message just now. I hope that was not to my doom. "Are you able to interview me this evening?"

He always says to call back. He told me I had to remind him, that he was sure he would forget to call on his own, but how many times must I remind him? I realize he is a very busy man (at his other job and at his Bed & Breakfast Inn)but what if I make him mad by calling him too often?

Simply do not know what to do.

Waiting and Wondering

I have given serious thought to the dream I have of owning my own Bed & Breakfast Inn. Many hours of research, study, and investigation led me to a message board where I found something very exciting. The owner of an inn posted a job for an inn keeper so he could take a vacation.

WOW! How amazing! This could be perfect for me. I could offer a deal to him. In exchange for training me on how to own and run an inn, I would keep his inn for him during his vacation. Since I am a teacher and have the summer off, this should work out great!

I am so excited. This will surely let me know if innkeeping is really what I want to do with the rest of my life. I could decide after 2 months that it is not for me or I could realize my dreams are ready to be realities!

The b & b owner and I are going to talk this week so I will let you know soon what I find out!
