I have given serious thought to the dream I have of owning my own Bed & Breakfast Inn. Many hours of research, study, and investigation led me to a message board where I found something very exciting. The owner of an inn posted a job for an inn keeper so he could take a vacation.
WOW! How amazing! This could be perfect for me. I could offer a deal to him. In exchange for training me on how to own and run an inn, I would keep his inn for him during his vacation. Since I am a teacher and have the summer off, this should work out great!
I am so excited. This will surely let me know if innkeeping is really what I want to do with the rest of my life. I could decide after 2 months that it is not for me or I could realize my dreams are ready to be realities!
The b & b owner and I are going to talk this week so I will let you know soon what I find out!
I think that would be an interesting summer job. There are quite a few B&B's where I live. I don't know if they are hiring or not. My eighth grade teacher worked as a waitress during the summer months at a lodge in Colorado and made more money with tips than she did teaching school. I know that was a long time ago, but some things never change. LOL...you do come up with some creative ideas! enjoyin life in Glen Rose
